Our Favorite Tomato Recipes

Good news: we are in PEAK tomato season, which means there are endless, delicious recipe opportunities! Here at Snap Kitchen, we’re big fans of this super fruit (yes, it’s a fruit!). With so many great tomato varieties, from heirloom to cherry to San Marzano, we wanted to share our absolute fave recipes, so you can savor every bit of this incredible 🍅 season!

And tomatoes have some pretty incredible benefits, too. While every variety of tomato packs slightly different health benefits, they’re all a great source of nutrients, including vitamins C, A, and K, potassium, and folate. Several varieties are also filled with antioxidants like beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, and lycopene, known to fight free radicals that cause damage to your cells. As a result, eating tomatoes can positively impact your health, including lowering your risk of developing certain types of cancers. And it doesn’t end there! Consuming this powerhouse fruit can also improve vision, boost digestive health, help with diabetes management, and improve skin health.

We’re 100% in for any opportunity to enjoy au gratin all year round, which is why we’re ecstatic to share America’s Test Kitchen’s, Best Summer Tomato Gratin recipe. This slow roasted tomato dish will blow your mind and your taste buds. Trust us, you’re going to want to file this one away.

Eggs in purgatory

If you’re looking to elevate your weekend brunch game, we’ve got the recipe for you! The Eggs in Purgatory by Bon Appetit is a total crowd pleaser and a great breakfast staple! Sweet, tangy tomatoes paired with protein-packed eggs make for a perfect pair, made even better by your favorite bread for dipping.
