Meet Chef Lorena Basteris and Registered Dietitian Sam Presicci. This culinary duo, plus their awesome team, is behind all of Snap Kitchen’s delicious (and healthy!) meals.
Lorena Basteris, VP of Culinary & Ops
Born and raised in Mexico, Lorena has been cooking for her family since she could pull up a stool at the stove. In 2013, she took a leap of faith: she sold her car and packed her bags for Texas to pursue a career in food and nutrition and has never looked back. Lorena brings more than a decade of experience as a trained chef and culinary educator and a unique zest for culinary genius! In her free time, Lorena loves hiking and walking trails with her four boys (husband, two children, and pup!).
Favorite Snap Kitchen meal? “Peach BBQ Brisket with Loaded Cauliflower – all my favorite flavors!”
Sam Presicci, Registered Dietitian
Born and raised in New York with a few stops that eventually landed her in north Texas, Sam is a foodie and a purist when it comes to ingredient quality. She thinks that food should be as close to its original form as possible, and that we should all know where our food comes from. She’s passionate about busting nutrition myths and helping people see the beauty and flavor of real food. When she’s not geeking out over nutrition or food, she can be found hitting up the local farmer’s market (where she also geeks out over food), walking the local trails with her boyfriend and two pups, or attempting to garden on her almost 3-acre property!
Favorite Snap Kitchen meal? “Cacio e Pepe with Rosemary Chicken. You just can’t beat the combination of gluten-free pasta, parmesan cheese, and high-quality extra virgin olive oil. It’s been my favorite for years!”
