Snap Kitchen: Grown in TX

January 28, 2026

Did you know that Snap Kitchen was started right here in Texas, and that we still cook all of our food in the Lone Star State? It’s true! For 15 years, we’ve been proudly serving up nourishing meals made by Texans for Texans (and beyond!) who want clean & easy food  — no bull.

Where it all started

Founded in 2010 in Austin, TX, Snap has always stayed close to its Texas roots. Before we had any digital presence, we had our first-ever brick-and-mortar store at The Triangle in Austin. This special store even contained a test kitchen, where our HQ employees would collaborate with the culinary team on new menu items.

Though the Triangle store is no longer around, we have expanded across the Lonestar State to multiple Austin locations and to Houston, Fort Worth and Dallas.

You can also find us in over 40 southwest Whole Foods Market locations or get Snap meals delivered to your front door in 30+ states.

Food sourcing and prep

With retail locations across Texas, it only makes sense that our food is made here too. At our Fort Worth Kitchen, Chef Lorena and her team create every recipe and cook every meal — from entrées to breakfasts and protein bites.

While other meal-prep brands rely on pick-and-pack warehouses and conveyor belt assembly, our meals are hand-cut, cooked, and packed under one roof, right here in Texas.

And whenever possible, we source locally. You’ll find Texas-proud partners like 44 Farms, Yellowbird, Siete, and Vital Farms throughout our menu.

Have you been with Snap since the early days, or discovered us along the way? We’d love to hear your story!
