There are a lot of meal prep companies on the market. But one thing we know after 11 years in business? They’re not all created equal. Think: seed oils, highly processed ingredients, unbalanced macros, and worst of all – no flavor!
At Snap, we like to do things differently. Chef-curated, dietitian-approved, fresh ingredients, and none you can’t pronounce. And our meals? They actually taste delicious. Because what good is eating healthy if you have to suffer through it? When you’re eating food you crave, you’ll want to keep up the healthy habits.
Our Ingredients
Real food > fake food. At Snap, we make almost all of our ingredients from scratch (dressings, sauces, baked goods, and more!). And if we don’t make it ourselves, we source from a high-quality company doing things the right way.
Others can’t say the same. Most sauces, dressings, and marinades on the market (including in meal kits and other meal delivery services 👀) are highly processed, filled with refined sugars, highly processed oils, artificial preservatives, food dyes, and more. The same can be said for proteins like meatballs, burgers, and breaded fish (we make our breading in-house, of course!).
Our Macros
Our chef and registered dietitian work together to make sure every meal meets our macronutrient standards. All entrees are less than 550 calories but chock full of protein, healthy fats, complex carbohydrates, and high-quality nourishment.
And when we say something is high protein, we mean it! Most other companies label meals as high protein even if they only have 17-18g per serving. Us? It’s always 33+g of protein. Same with our low carb (30g or less) and keto (10g or less of net carbs) guidelines. Consistent standards, always.
Our Flavor
Healthy habits are a lot easier to stick to when you actually want to do them. We make this part easy. Our chef, Lorena, personally develops, tests, and approves every single new menu item we launch, and she has pretty high standards! The end result is vibrant, nourishing food that tastes great and makes you feel even better.
The Snap difference, in part, involves using fresh ingredients, ample spices and seasonings, and super high-quality fats (ghee, avocado oil, olive oil, and coconut oil). These impart flavor that just can’t be matched.
