Snappy Holiday Drink Pairings

December 17, 2021

At Snap, we’re all about making your spirits bright all year round, but especially during the holidays. So we’re sharing our favorite Snap meal pairings with the signature drinks of the merriest of seasons! Let’s get this holiday party started!

Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is always a solid choice for a holiday dinner get-together. I mean, who doesn’t love red wine and all those warm winter flavors like cinnamon, star anise and orange zest?! It’s definitely got a lot going on, so finding a perfect pair can be a little tricky. Stick with serving mulled wine alongside bold or creamy flavors at your next festive feast.

Healthy Tip: Reach for natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup for a healthy tweak.

  • Pumpkin Alfredo with Sage Turkey Sausage

  • Peppercorn Steak with Tricolor Potatoes

  • Bison Shepherd’s Pie with Turnip-Potato Mash

Hot Chocolate

Hot Cocoa isn’t just sweet and creamy – it’s complex too. Especially if you dust your hot cocoa with a little cinnamon.

Healthy Tip: Use non-dairy milk with healthier fats that still provide max creaminess – like lite coconut milk and hemp milk. Try a drop or two of vanilla extract and natural sugars like honey to find your perfect balance of sweetness.

Pumpkin Pancakes & Sausage with Maple-Cinnamon Butter:

For a special holiday breakfast or a snack by the fire, hot cocoa paired with our pumpkin-spiced pancakes – that’s some pure holiday happiness!

Steak Street Tacos & Spanish Rice Pilaf with Salsa Verde:

Cocoa is a perfect pairing for so many Mesoamerican flavors like masa, chile, and smoky grilled beef.

Peppermint Shake

Stay frosty during the holiday chaos with a Peppermint Shake! Whether that cool kick is coming from a candy cane or schnapps, this dessert is a perfect finisher for a meal that brings a little heat to the table. Pair it with our:

  • Cajun Salmon with Braised Greens & Bacon

  • Jerk Chicken with Mango Salsa & Dirty Rice

  • Chicken Tinga with Fire-Roasted Corn

Healthy Tip: To curb the sugar content, use a good, natural peppermint extract instead and save the candy cane to hang on the tree. Plus, check the grocer’s freezer for keto-friendly, low-carb ice cream!

Hot Apple Cider

Full of deep, wintery flavors – apple cider really brings that homey holiday spirit to so many cozy meals. Try it with some of our comfort classics.

Healthy Tip: Instead of hot cider, try mixing fresh-pressed apple cider with your favorite bubbly water for a lighter holiday refreshment!

Turkey & Butternut Squash Stuffing with Cranberry Sauce

When you pair up these quintessential holiday flavors of Turkey and stuffing and cranberries with the orchard-y goodness of apple cider – we’re talking peak holiday sublime!

Honey Dijon Roasted Chicken with Tricolor Potatoes & Peas

Our take on this Sunday dinner classic has a flavor profile that fits perfectly with apple cider’s wholesome, cheery personality. This duet will have your tastebuds singing fa-la-la-la-flavor!
