March is National Nutrition Month, which means it’s prime time to highlight our passionate team of registered dietitians and the reasons we couldn’t imagine Snap Kitchen without them. Check back each week to learn more about the Snap RDs in each of our cities, and the important contributions they make. We’ll kick things off with Daniel Magoon, our resident Dallas dietitian!
Magoon explains that his dynamic role involves a wide range of responsibilities but essentially, he talks about good, nutritious food every day. “We are the leaders in nutrition for our community and strive to inspire, empower, and fuel our guests as they explore the many paths towards living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. We lend our expertise and take the guesswork out of eating well.”
And when our nutritionists aren’t guiding their Snap communities, they’ve got their eyes on the kitchen. Our RD team is responsible for ensuring that each dish meets Snap’s nutrition standards, while keeping taste, dietary restrictions, and responsible sourcing in focus.
“Food is the best thing in the world, and it is my job to redefine the standards on healthy eating. Nothing is stocked on the shelves unless it is approved by our team. Each and every ingredient in our kitchen is vetted by the Snap Kitchen RDs so we can ensure our menu balance of satisfying variety and nutrient dense components. My goal is for guests to leave our stores feeling confident in their choices, educated by our knowledgeable staff, and inspired to continue down the path of making healthy, delicious decisions.”
