Things That Are Better Together

By Claire Siegel, RDN • February 8, 2017 • News

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’re totally in the holiday spirit. We’re hanging our heart wreaths, raiding the Target dollar section for pink, red, & white stationery, and celebrating our favorite pairings & activities to do in pairs.

exercising

Sticking to a workout regimen can be a difficult feat. How many times has “something come up” when your intention was to hit the gym after work?  When you pair up with a friend or sign up for group exercise, you reap all the benefits of added accountability, a social experience, and expert instruction.

traveling

Solo trips offer time and space for introspection, and maybe the answer to an existential question or two, but it can be a lonely jaunt. Traveling with a friend or loved one is a time to see new things, make memories, and enjoy some serious Q.T.

The Bachelor + red wine

Whether you consider it a mindless indulgence, a guilty pleasure, or your favorite weekly entertainment, nothing goes with Bach quite like a little (or a lot of) vino. The show itself will make you question everything about love and dating in the year 2017, and we’re willing to see if wine has the answers.

chocolate + nut butter

We’ve been known to swipe some almond butter on a brownie, or treat ourselves to a Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup after dinner. And while we don’t know who originally came up with this salty/sweet pairing, we do know that we owe them a huge thank you.

moving

Uhhh… How else are you going to carry out all that heavy furniture?
