Wayne, PA meet Snap Kitchen. Starting Saturday, you’ll be able to pick up your favorite healthy, handmade meals at 536 W Lancaster Ave! Our Philly customers have been amazing over the past year, and as we get ready to open our third shop on the Main Line (and NINTH in Philly), I checked in with a few to find out their favorite meals and why they love the area.
I met Kate shopping for yogurt parfaits in our Villanova shop. Kate has lived on the Main Line for over 30 years and is a fan of Snap’s “healthy flavorful breakfasts…homey gluten free pancakes, or the protein-rich chicken sausage egg stack.” Since the morning is when she has the least amount of time to cook, she finds the energizing choices to be a great start to her day!
Kate loves the Main Line for the combination of small town living vibe with big city services, access to the arts, and many high quality shopping choices for prepared food and ingredients. When she’s #notcooking, you’ll find her “biking or walking with friends, or at a lecture or panel discussion at Haverford College or Villanova University.”
Sarah moved to Villanova from Wales almost 16 years ago and has loved living there ever since. “It has this nice experience of history and great opportunities.”
When I asked Sarah what her favorite go-to Snap meal was and why, she replied, “Oh that’s not fair! It started off being the Chimichurri Beef. The beef has this fabulous taste – I like the spiciness – and also feels that you’re eating something super healthy. You can never go wrong with that. Now, I think I’m really enjoying the Dan Dan noodles, for 2 reasons: it’s got a great taste to it and one of the guys in the store is called Dan. It sort of became funny, having the Dan Dan noodles at the same time as having a great social experience.”
But, it’s not just the taste, convenience, a Snap team that Sarah loves. Dealing with acid reflux for 20 years, Sarah found that eating healthy at Snap Kitchen helped solve her health problems. “Sara (Villanova General Manager) did such a great job of describing the nutritionals in the meals. I used this as a reason to go gluten free, and because of making that transition I’m actually off all of the prescription medicines I used to take. These meals, they’re really great not just for the taste but the way you guys make them – balanced nutrition and all that.”
When she’s #notcooking because she’s eating Snap Kitchen, you’ll find her practicing photography. “Photography is my passion, so I definitely have more time to go off and take photographs around the country, come back and develop them, and not have to spend much time at the grocery store.”
See you Saturday!
Join us at our Wayne store opening on Saturday, 1/28. We’ll have gift cards for the first 25 guests – one of which will be valued at $100 – and the team from Peloton King of Prussia will be bringing one of their bikes to demo from 9am-12pm!
See you this weekend!
