You may have noticed that we recently came out with something pretty different from our usual offerings, and we’re pretty excited about it! We’re thrilled to introduce our new Components!
Our Components are designed to work for you, no matter what your goals are. Customize your plate to fit your needs, whether you want to mix & match Components to make your own meal or add extra protein, veggies or carbs to an existing plate.
What are they?
Our Components are two-serving portions of proteins, veggies, and starches that are seasoned simply, so that you can make them your own. Our current lineup includes:
- Chicken tenders
- Grilled chicken breast
- Grilled chicken thigh
- Grilled salmon
- Roasted sweet potatoes
- Green beans
- Roasted zucchini & squash
- Seasoned coconut rice
We designed our Components for a few reasons. One of the main pieces of feedback we see from customers is that they’d like more variety. In addition to monthly menu launches for our composed meals, we have added Components as a great way to build-your-own meal and help stave off food boredom. Components allow you to mix-and-match and add your favorite sauce or dressing for a totally new meal experience. It’s meal prep without the prep.
We’ve also heard from some of you that you like to track your macros and you’re trying to hit specific numbers on a daily basis. Components are a great way to add extra protein, add carbs, or build a custom meal that specifically fits your macro needs. We also want to make Snap Kitchen work for you even if you have kids or a significant other. You can pick up a few of our Components for a quick weeknight meal or an easy way to feed your kiddos if you’d rather not stop at the drive through or make them a meal from scratch.
If you’ve been missing some of our lower calorie ‘small’ meal options, Components might be a great fit for you! They allow you to take only as much as you need, then save the rest for your next meal. You can even recreate something like our small Naked Chicken by combining sides + Components. They’re are also a great option if our composed meals are cost prohibitive for you on a regular basis.
How do I use them?
Really, the options are endless! You can add some extra protein or veggies to an existing meal or make a mini-meal or snack using a smaller portion of protein. Our favorite way to use them is to mix-and-match to make a totally new meal. Even though our sides are one serving, we often like to combine sides + components to give ourselves even more variety at meal time. Here are some possible combinations, but don’t let them limit you! We love to add dressing, sauce or guacamole to these combos to take them to the next level. Our favorite sauces? Check out Tessemae’s, Primal Kitchen, The New Primal, coconut aminos and Yai’s Thai.
